What this place is

A club, a cold drink,
and a reason to leave the house.

Show up for one, stay for all three. That’s usually how it goes.

₹700 / hr
The courts

Play. Lose gracefully.

Two courts, by the hour. Rusty is fine... we won’t tell anyone.

Always cold
The fridge

Refuel. Zero sugar.

No café yet. Just a fridge, stocked cold... zero sugar, always there.

The events

Friday has a plan.

Tournaments, open nights, ladder leagues. The 831 Open’s live... bracket’s filling fast.

The photo wall

Proof it’s a good time.

How a session goes

Four steps. None hard.

1

Book a slot

Pick a court and an hour online. Razorpay confirms it before you’ve put your phone down.

2

Just turn up

Paddles and balls are already here. Wear non-marking shoes and bring nothing else.

3

Play

Singles, doubles, or whoever’s around. Open nights match you up if you came solo.

4

Stick around

Grab a cold one from the fridge, run a post-mortem of that one rally, go again.

Start at step one →
Never played?

It takes four minutes.

Tennis, badminton and ping-pong had a kid. Here’s the whole thing, drawn on a napkin.

1

The net

Lower than tennis. Serve underhand, diagonally, and let it bounce once on each side before anyone gets clever.

2

The kitchen

The shaded zone by the net. No smashing while standing in it — the great equaliser, and the rule everyone forgets first.

3

The score

First to 11, win by 2. Only the serving side scores. If that sounds confusing, it isn’t — three rallies in and you’ll have it.

While you’re here

The 831 Arcade.

A couple of pickleball games to kill the wait between bookings. Built for your thumb, best on a phone. We keep adding them — lose gracefully.

Dink Rally

Keep the rally alive. The wall never tires.

Mind the Kitchen

Slingshot it over the net onto the target.

More incoming

New games drop here. Keep losing in the meantime.

Under your feet

Not concrete.
Never concrete.

Most courts are a concrete slab with paint rolled on top. Ours is built up properly — a real asphalt base, finished with an 8-layer acrylic system, three of them cushion coats, to ITF standard. Here’s the slice nobody else will show you.

a core sample, basically ↓
1

8-layer acrylic system

incl. 3 cushion coats

Colour, line and cushion coats built up in eight layers — the give you feel on every step, plus crisp tournament-grade lines.

2

Asphalt base

not concrete

A dense bituminous course laid instead of a concrete slab — it flexes and drains instead of cracking.

3

Compacted sub-base

graded, rolled solid

Graded stone rolled solid underneath, so the whole stack stays dead-flat for years.

Kinder on every joint

Three cushion coats absorb the impact concrete throws straight back at your knees, ankles and elbows.

Safer, seamless surface

Asphalt flexes as one continuous course — no slab seams or pour lines waiting to roll an ankle.

A true, honest bounce

A dead-flat base and even acrylic top mean the ball does exactly what you expect — every single rally.

Everyone else paints concrete.

It’s cheaper, it cracks in the heat, and it gives your knees nothing back. We built it up properly instead — a real asphalt base and an 8-layer acrylic system — so you never have to think about it again.

The receipts

Built it.
Didn’t just say so.

Compacted past midnight, coated by hand, netted up by morning. No renders, no stock — just us, mid-build.

The regulars

Who you’ll be losing to.

A handful are genuinely good. Most are improvising and pretending otherwise. Either way, you’ll fit in by the second visit.

Every session earns points. Points build a streak. The streak lands on the board — motivation, lightly disguised as a leaderboard. Nobody climbs at anyone else’s expense.

Reasonable questions

Before you ask.

Neither had most of the leaderboard six months ago. Paddles are included, the rules take four minutes, and nobody keeps score on your first day. (We do, a little. Quietly.)

Right, enough reading
